- Allan Engelhardt Review added: 2018.01.16★ ★ ★ ★ ★Very large beautiful gardens designed by Capability Brown makes for a wonderful day out for the whole family when the weather is nice. Bring a ball, blanket, and a picnic (or eat in the cafe) and enjoy the whole day there. Do visit the houses and if you are there on a Saturday enjoy the beautifully dresses wedding guests (it is a very popular venue).
Also a useful stop even if you do not want to pay to enter the grounds as the cafe, children's playground, and large fields are free to use. But if you live in England consider joining English Heritage and you can use places like this as often as you want.
